Xbox wireless headset mic is too sensitive.

My mic is picking up background noise and amplifying it. My friends say they can hear my neighbors dog 2 houses down. I turned mic monitor down all the and auto mute on high settings but nothing happens. I test mic by sent voice message and I could hear myself rustling with my controller loud and clearer the my voice. It's almost like noise isolation is inverted. Any help would be appreciated .

Please check to see if there’s a firmware update available.

Also, you can try restarting the Xbox as well as the headset. You can also go into headset settings and select Restore to default to reset the headset Equalizer levels.

Since the eco issue appears even when trying different headsets, then it is most likely that someone else in your party has their mic gain too high and has party chat through their TV or too loud in their headsets. check whose name shows when you hear the echo.

That does not work. The quality of the Kinect mic is horrible for chat reasons only. Its too sensitive and the sound quality is nothing compared to the normal Headset.
