    Xbox Wireless Headset FW 0.0.9.22


    Good morning all,

    Insider Alpha here (Series X and One X). While the latest firmware for the Xbox Wireless Headset via the Insider Program has shown a small improvement in mic-monitoring (from nothing at all to very small improvement), when it is set to “high” it is still almost nonexistent. I find myself yelling a lot more/speaking loudly because I can barely hear myself speaking through the mic, especially when comparing to almost every other headset on the market, of all price ranges and of both wired and wireless.

    I just wanted to report that on 0.0.9.22 I am still experiencing these major issues with mic-monitoring.

    Is this issue still being worked on? I haven’t had a firmware update in around two months, perhaps longer.

    Also, as a side note, I find that when trying to use with Windows via Bluetooth there are major audio issues and it is almost unusable without the Xbox Wireless Adapter (especially if using both for audio and the mic), despite saying it’s supposed to be able to handle gaming audio over Bluetooth.     Xbox Wireless Headset, Party Chat Mixer Greyed Out. Left headset wheel doesn’t do anything.

    Having just chatted with a friend who has fw 0.0.9.22 on his headset says his is greyed but party/game fades in operation with wheel rotation as it should.

    Just got an update for series x and xbox wireless headset (0.0.9.22) i'm not an insider. And it seems that disconnecting problem was finally fixed! i've experienced sound cut outs and disconnections too often and the worst case was fh 4. I've been playing for an hour after update and haven't experienced any issues. Before the update i can't even play 10 minutes without issues. Also it seems they reduced bass in headset so i can use standart game preset.

    This is like flogging a dead horse. Thanks for your support on this M$ after years of loyal support for your flagship product all we get is ...a $400 pair of head phones ,thanks. You could have at leased talked to Tritton and maybe come up with an mic boom
    (as ours plugs into the side of the headset) with a cable running from the boon that plugs into the controller (with a controller FW update, it wouldn't be wireless but it would still let us use out $400 headset). At leased it would have been something but
    this is just not acceptable and you have lost so much respect in my eyes this gen I'm almost out.

    Why can't a FW update to the controller be pushed anyway to tell it to sync to our base?
