Xbox Wireless Headset - Dropping Audio Entirely & Shutting Down Xbox

My headset will intermittently drop its connection to the Xbox entirely while still showing that it's on. It will occasionally get raspy and distorted as well with no other solution but to power it down then launch it back up.

On occasion, when trying to join a friend's party while having the headset on, I will join for a brief moment before my entire console shuts off.

I don't see this posted anywhere else so want to make sure it's a known issue.

    :)

Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Audio Cutting Out. How do i fix it?

I have the same headset and use the xbox wireless adapter to connect. The only workable, but annoying, fix I've found is to go to control panel-> device manager-> sound video and game controllers and disable the HDMI audio output on my video card (I dont
use it anyways). After that, delete the xbox wireless adapter from the network drop down in device manager, be sure to check 'delete drivers as well' when prompted, then unplug/replug the xbox wireless adapter, let it auto install, then connect your headset.
No more audio lag/drop outs/pc freezes/bsod's.....for this time that you're using it. You have to do this every single time you want to connect your headset, at least i do, or i get one or all of these issues. Im open to better options but this does work for
    me

How do I adjust chat/game volume on astros?

    6) Select Bitstream format and then select Dolby Digital.

Configuring the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter

By default, the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter will output both game audio and voice audio which will render the mixer on the A50 Wireless Headset unusable. Follow the below steps to set the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter to only output voice audio which
    will correct this.

    1) Set the mixer on the A50 Wireless Headset to full voice audio. To do this, hold down the voice button on the A50 Wireless Headset until you hear two beeps. Two beeps is an indication that you have fully mixed towards either game or voice depending on
    what button you was holding.

    2) On the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, hold down the chat audio button until you hear a beep. At this point, you should only be able to hear voice audio from your Xbox One.

    3) On the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, hold down the plus button until the voice audio no longer increases.

That's all that's to it! You will now be able to use the microphone from your A50 Wireless Headset on your Xbox One and the mixer will work as intended allowing you to mix between game audio and voice audio with ease. Should you have any further questions
regarding the A50 Wireless Headset and Xbox One, please feel free to post them on this thread and we'll respond as quickly as possible with an answer for you.

This seems to be the same for the Xo7 as well. My co worker said there is not even a volume control turn dial at all.

    IMO this is not ok.

That copy paste is saying turn your game audio off to be able to adjust your voice volume.

    PC wireless adaptor audio control

Thank you! Is it possible that your Xbox Wireless Headset displays as more than one audio device in your audio device list? (ex: Wireless Headset Stereo, Wireless Headset - Hands Free AG)

Xbox Series X game audio failing after unplugging headphones, NOTE, Xbox menu audio working, game audio failing

As the second bullet point notes, I did the power down thing (I have settings such that it doesn't stay on standby, but shuts down entirely). But for the sake of doing it, knowing I'll be asked again, I unplugged the console, waited, and tried again. The issue persists.

As said, this is occurring per game, the dashboard audio remains, and if I plug my headset back in, the audio through the headset works fine. It's just launching certain games where the audio appears to "believe a headset is still in"? That's as good as I can guess at this point, because it only occurs via the headset plugging/unplugging. Currently I cannot get audio to return to Ghost Recon without having my headset in. The workaround to return audio is not known to me.
