Xbox Wireless Headset Distorted Sound

Hello Everyone,

I just picked up the new Xbox Wireless Headset and I really do enjoy it. However, I've been getting random distorted sounds, like it's almost lagging and cutting in and out every so often. I have to shut it off, turn it back on, and then it'll happen once more like 10 minutes later. I've completely updated the fireware and was wondering if anyone else had the same issues and what they did to correct it. Thanks

Don't get the Microsoft wireless Xbox headset I made the mistake of thinking they were good but they disconnect and sound distorted a lot I guess that's why they now have a wired one.

Same issues, even tried turning off the wifi in the house, tablets and mobiles in airplane mode.... great 100bucks on Headsets that distord sound....

I posted below, but i wanted to make it clear. I checked the firmware, checked the other hardware and software, restarted all the devices, and tried restore to default. all multiple times. still have the issues.

Yesterday (12/1/2021), I experienced extremely choppy audio in Warzone. Thinking this may be a wireless issue, I unplugged the XBox Wireless Adapter and used the USB-C port for audio (USB-C to USB-C). Guess what? I still had choppy audio on the Xbox Wireless headset! I switched to an older 3.5 mm headphone, and the audio was fine.

I think switching to a wired headset is a good idea at this point, as the Scruffy Fuzzy said above.
