I have Official Xbox Wireless Headset.

    A Launch Series X.

The headset during any playback Pops and Crackles.

If I use my wired Steelseries no crackle or pop.

Why is wireless made for the series x/s doing this?

    Doesn't matter what game.

I would just use wired and only ever buy consoles and controllers from MS, but when its not popping it sounds much better then wired.

    :)

Personally, I have questions over how robust the Wireless signal is on the Series X....I have a Steelseries 9x headset (Wireless) and it will periodically have 5-10 minutes of audio issues, whether they be crackles, pops, and other general interference. Does seem to happen more often with some games....ironically, the games I have most issues with are Microsoft games, namely Forza.

Although I would add that when I was using a Steelseries 7x plugged into my controller, it would also have occasional audio issues...just nowhere near as often as now.

    Hi Gobbie(2),

Have you visited the troubleshoot your Xbox Wireless Headset found on the Xbox support page? If your headset is within warranty there is a section that discusses how to get your headset replaced as well.

    Best regards,

wired or wireless that is the question

For wired/wireless controllers, I don't see a difference, I use wireless though as it eliminates another cord, with a plug and play pack you don't need to buy batteries and they hold a charge pretty well.

Wireless headsets in my experience are a different story.

I own a pair of Turtle Beach X41's and while the quality of sound is amazing, the interference and crackling/popping sounds you will occasionally experience with these headsets is not. Not to mention the amount of batteries you will have to go through.

    So in my opinion:

    Wireless controller: Yes.

    Wireless headset: No.

XBOX ONE Stereo Headset Static Post March patch...... Does it happen to you?

Just got the XO seven. I've tried using other headsets with the adapter and it doesn't matter - crackling and popping. Restarting the controller fixes this for a minute or two, but it eventually starts crackling again. VERY frustrating.

    Sometimes I have to wonder...

I'm also hoping that the Crackle APP will change to Crackle Pop, so I can keep saying,

    "Xbox Snap Crackle Pop"
