Xbox Wireless Headset cracked headband in Warranty period

My headset still have approx 6 months of warranty but headband part connected to mic holding ear cup has broken. Headset is regularly, but decently used, and except this issue is in excellent condition. As there were no drop or any other mechanical impact, and this place is experiencing stress every time putting on/off the head I assume this might be material issue.

There is similar behaviour described in the question Xbox Wireless Headset Warranty claim, but this relates to material issue with MIC, not with headband. Anyone experiencing same/similar issue with headband?

I'm trying to create Service order through the support website, but I cannot finalize it. The <Next> button is greyed out so I cannot place it. Any advice/comment is appreciated.

    Thank you in advance, Jan

    :)

    Hello JanJiJan,

We hope you are doing well. Thank you for posting in Xbox Forums. We are happy to help.

We're sorry to hear that your Xbox Wireless Headset has a crack and using it has been causing you discomfort. We understand that you wanted to request for this to be serviced. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

Based on your description, you were having issues with the Next Button for creating service for Xbox Wireless Headset. May we ask if you can send us a screenshot of the issue? Please conceal any personal information.

We can recommend you try the following steps and see if your Next button will be available:

    1. Try to use the InPrivate Window of your browser. This way you will be able to submit the request without the cache you once had with the Next button.
    2. Use different browser - try to use another browser making sure you will get past the part where the Next button is greyed out. Try to turn off or not use any VPN for better results.
    3. Use different device and/or connect to another internet connection to see if you can go through with the process.
The device is available for submitting a request for service order after you have Registered your Xbox device. In getting your Xbox device serviced, please check:

    • Please visit this link and sign in with your Microsoft account credentials - Sign in
    • Select the device that you want repaired.
    • Follow the onscreen steps to complete your service order request.

    Hi Kathy,

apologise for not answering earlier. I've tried steps you've advised but not successful. So I've contacted support who created Service order for me. Currently headset is on its way to service center for control and possible further actions.

Thank you very much for you expedited help and all advises you provided.

And once again, sorry for not providing any answer earlier.

Turtle Beach static / not working

Turtle beach is garbage. The headband will probably crack in 6 months anyway.

    Aftermarket Headsets

Turtle beach has aweful build quality. They often crack on the headband near the ear cups due to cheap plastic.
