Xbox Wireless Headset behaving strangely

Additional information is needed, please tell me:

What console do you have?

Do you know if your headset received an update recently?

Are you using an insider build / beta OS in your console?

Before restarting the console, did you tried re-pairing the headset to see if the same happens?

And also, when you say "restart", do you mean power cycling the console or rebooting using the console guide / power options?

If its the second try power cycling the console instead:

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.

Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

That sucks OP. My black MS wireless headset will disconnect me off live any time I turn it on during the game I'm playing. What's crazy is the mics don't behave like that on my sons 360. It's strange and have yet to figure it out.

This is a really strange issue. It's almost acting like the adaptor is behaving like the chat headset that comes with the box (or that the controller is seeing it that way), in that when the standard headset is plugged in, the chat audio cuts out in exactly
the same way....

Strange. I just cimmected a new wireless headset and it went away....

I am not too sure, but it does sound strange. Is it one of the official wireless headsets?
