    Hello community/support,

    hopefully this is the correct place for my Question. here we go:

    a friend of mine wants to use a xbox Controller, any of them. but it has to be connected to the PC with cable. because of the rays a wireless Controller sents to the Hardware. now the Question is:

    does a wireless xbox Controller which is connected to the Hardware/PC/xbox whatever by cable send Bluetooth rays or not. We want to know for sure!

    Is it possible to use the "Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10" on an XBOX One to Connect Wireless Controllers?

    You probably mean the right thing, but the Xbox One does not use Bluetooth to connect controllers wirelessly, but a Xbox specific wireless communication protocol.

    Since the console has this wireless protocol built into the special wireless module already, the Xbox One doesn't support the USB wireless connector.

    Try the
    suggestions in the Wireless Controller Troubleshooter here     to hopefully fix your wireless controller issues.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately unlike the Xbox One controllers, the wireless Xbox 360 controllers remain wireless regardless of whether you connect them to a PC with a Play and Charge. You can't make an Xbox 360 wireless controller a wired controller.

    If you want to use your 360 wireless controller on a PC you'll need to buy an Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.
