    As the title states, I can't get my wireless controller to work at all, even when its connected to my pc and shows its connected via Bluetooth. Works fine in steam once I load up a game, but it isn't working at all in any Cloud games (Forza 5 or Hollow Knight). The controller was working fine last night before I connected it to my Xbox one for an update to play Rock band 4.

    Things I've done :

    I've uninstalled the driver(s)

    I've disconnected my Bluetooth and reconnected it (and reinstalled the driver)

    Disconnected the controller and reconnected it

    Reconnected controller via Bluetooth

    Restarted PC

    Turned it off and on again

    Connected controller via USB cable (which made the controller work and show on Xbox accessories, but never had to do this before)

    Turned off steam controller settings (Guide button Focuses steam is still on, but controller doesn't work if its off)

    I'm at a complete loss of figuring this out on my own, I've been to 20+ threads and I've tried everything I can think off and its completely strange why its not working anymore. Controller was working fine since I bought the AUS USB-BT500 Bluetooth adapter and my Xbox one Wireless controller for windows.

    For the love of everything in video games, please help so I can Vroom again, WIRELESSLY Xbox wireless controller works with steam but not with Xbox cloud games anymore? (very... :)

    Explain doing something I shouldn't? I go to the store and purchase a controller and Bluetooth adapter, hook it up (plug and play) and I should be able to play any Xbox cloud game on PC. I have downloaded them for PC, so why isn't my controller working in the games, but works fine on steam?

    Like I said, everything was working fine until I connected my said controller to my Xbox one to update it so I could play Rock Band 4 on my console. Then the next day controller is connected to my PC, but not responding to any Xbox game pass games (for PC) unless I have the USB cable plugged in. Makes no sense to me.

    This is because you are trying to do something you shouldnt

    One steam does not use Windows drivers they have their own which allows them to controller what controllers use what this includes dual sense

    However you really shouldn't since windows native drivers use direct x input your only option roll back the drivers

    When cloud gaming on an Xbox console, any wired or wireless controller that is compatible with an Xbox console will work for cloud gaming on console.

    If you’re using a web browser to play cloud games, the Xbox Wireless Controller is currently the only officially supported controller. Other controllers may or may not work for cloud gaming on a browser.

    The wireless controller works perfectly fine with steam games but none of the xbox game pass games on the xbox beta app recognize the controller.

    I heard that it wont work with a third party receiver, which i use.

    Plus unfortunately i am not able to test it with a wired controller.
