XBOX Wireless Controller Packaging flaw

Just a note to wise. The packaging on the new Xbox wireless controllers, is allowing the annalogue sticks to take damage in transit etc. You can easily click the sticks through the card on the box. I've had to replace one today, within 36 hrs of purchasing
and less than an hour of gameplay.

I will not be surprised if there are many many returns for this.

Just to point out... it might be cool to have a little off-screen action for obvious reasons. But the controller is still needing to be connected (wired or wirelessly) to the console itself. So you can't really play games in bed in the bedroom if ther Xbox is connected to the tv in the other room. i doubt the controller has a wireless range of that far. Hell, my Wii U gamepad cuts out with a single wall in between it an the console. This is an overwhelming flaw off-screen gaming has nobody tells you about.--The strength of the wireless controller sucks and makes off-tv play a pain in the ass. and as far as the Wii U goes, completely illegitimatizes the gamepad.

The 2017 controllers are being made cheaper than ever before too. I bought one of the volcano shadow controllers. It LITERALLY feels as cheap and flimsy as a PS4 controller AND it cost 10 dollars more than the standard controllers.. OUCH.. I'll be surprised
if this one last longer than the one it replaced. Lol. Imagine that a 2 year old controller in better shape than a few month old one.. Ahh, the wonderful world of Microsoft..

Indeed. I can't argue with you there.

I've been using a wired 360 controller with my PC from its release days. This new one is a replacement. The wired 360 controller is still in use with Street Fighter, Just that the lead/wire is a little gimicky.

Thanks, but as I previously stated, it IS a bluetooth controller (not just Xbox Wireless), and it DOES connect.

It is the right kind of controller that doesn't need the adapter, this is also stated on the packaging and in the manual as well.

The wired controllers will always take the first pick of which number they please, as they are directly wired, and the wireless controllers need to sync. If you are trying to get your wireless controllers to be connected first, then follow the suggestion
of Recessive. =) Just wanted to throw this out there, that way you know that it is not a flaw of any kind, just how the stuff works.

I'm sorry to hear that we couldn't get it working for you. If you're using a standard Xbox 360 wireless controller and not the one designed for Windows that comes with an official wireless receiver then it won't work with your PC. You have to have
the official receiver and that only comes packaged with the wireless controller designed for Windows.

I hope that helps clear things up! I know it's not the best of news but at least you can return the controller. =)
