Xbox wireless controller keeps disconnecting, pc win 10

I have already updated the firmware and restarted the controller, unfortunately, it did not fix my issues.

I also now have all of those applications installed.

The only thing I couldn't do was revert the firmware through my PC, as when I clicked the link it simply said my controller was up to date. I do not have an Xbox that I could try on.

I don't think I am ever coming back to this site. The support is terrible and no one ever responds. I am calling it quits. Worst forums ever.

Hello ShadowDj101, you've tried updating your controller's Firmware through the Xbox Accessories app for PC, and then trying to sync, if you don't already, follow the procedures below.

Also make sure that after you've downgraded, you'll have all optional system updates installed as well as Companion and Xbox Apps on your PC.

Summary: I fixed it by plugging USB cable into a controller and pc, win 10 recognized it, system restart was required and after that controller was working wirelessly also.

Longer description: I installed fresh windows 10, downloaded and installed all win updates, then I tried all these steps and at the end controller started working.

1) plugged wireless adapter into USB windows 10 recognized it but Xbox one controller won't connect (keep on blinking)

2) plugged wireless adapter into another USB port but Xbox one controller won't connect (keep on blinking)

3) plugged wireless adapter into another USB port started task manager removed Xbox one adapter, windows found it again but still noting (gamepad keep on blinking)

4) plugged wireless adapter into another USB port (front) started task manager removed Xbox one adapter and Xbox drivers, windows found it again installed it but still noting (gamepad keep on blinking)

5) FINALLY, I fixed it by plugging USB cable into a controller and pc, win 10 recognized it, system restart was required and after that controller was working wirelessly also.

Hi,

Both wired and wireless Xbox 360 controllers work on Windows 10. Wired is just plug and play while wireless controllers need a receiver. I know 360 controllers work as I've used them on my own gaming PC running the latest version of Win 10.
