Xbox Wireless Controller, Driver error.

I am trying to connect my Xbox wireless controller to my computer (surface book 2), I have done this before and it has worked but now it won't. Each time I try to connect it will say it is connected but then it says driver error, and I don't know what that
is. Is it a driver error with the computer? is there something wrong with my computer? or is there something wrong with my controller?

(some other information is, I have connected this controller to my Xbox one, and I'm wondering if the fact that this controller has been connected to an Xbox has anything to do with the problem)

Drivers are the software that control hardware such as keyboards, graphics cards and controllers connected to your computer. Sometimes they may need installing or updating.

Try that Remove device button and when it ask to delete the drivers too answer yes.

Unplug the controller for a few minutes and plug it back in, this will make the computer recognize it again and install the drivers again.

When connected to the XBOX did you Update xbox wireless controller?
