  1. Xbox Wireless Controller Driver Code 39

    I have had my Xbox One Wireless Controller for many months without issue, until recently it stopped working with my PC games.

    In Device Manager, there is an error on the Xbox One Wireless Controller which reads:

    "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

    Object Name not found."

    There is no error on the Xbox Wireless Adaptor.

    The driver error persists despite;

    • Plugging the controller in through a USB cable
    • Using a different Xbox controller
    • Attempting to update the controller via the Xbox Accessories app on the Xbox One (it already had the latest version)
    • Uninstalling and re-installing the device

    I have tried searching for help on these forums and elsewhere and have found very little related to my problem, hence why I am posting this thread.

    I hope to hear back soon.

    :)
