Xbox Wireless Adapter suddenly disappeared

Its still not working.

Here's is exactly what happend.

I wasnt at home for a few weeks, i started the Pc and Windows Update, this needed 2 Reboots.

Then i wanted to connect the MS Elite Controller but Wireless Adapter was off. I plugged it in

every USB-Ports my Pc have, it doenst work. But there is a little Message that pop off, it says something like

"unknown USB-Device, it can't be installed"

After seeing some Trouble-Shooting guides and Youtube Tutorials (my problem wasn't an ACC Problem)

i gave up on that thing and ordered a new one, same one. Original Microsoft Wireless Adapter 1790 Win10.

So this one's LED's are still off. But there is a little difference now, there isn't any message about unknown device,

there is no Windows Jingle for new USB-Devices, no entry in the device manager, absolutly nothing.

I tried every USB-Port again. I tried my Razor USB-Headset and some USB-Sticks, they all work fine on every USB-Port.

At least i updated my Mainboard-Bios, checked every driver for updates and went crazy about it.

Then i got a chance to try both adapters on two other Pc's and there is exactly the same Problem.

I guess i can put the old one to waste and the new one needs to be replaced.

I replay if i find another one, sold out everywhere.....

1. Since you already mention update, we would like to confirm if Xbox Wireless Adapter driver and firmware of Elite Series 1 controller are included.
   
2. Just to check, may we know if you have tried uninstall and reinstall the adapter driver? Please check here for the steps: Troubleshoot the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
   
3. Do you have any issues connecting any USB-type of devices (e.g., transfer a file from Phone to PC using USB cable or inserting flash drive to save files) to the PC?
   
4. Have you tried connecting a headset or speaker to the PC to check the sound?
   
5. Are there any recent updates, changes or installed apps before the issue happen?
   
6. If you don't mind sharing, may we ask for the details regarding the new adapter. Is it from a 3rd party app or from Microsoft?

Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear that, it seems like the Wireless Adapter is not working. if the USB port is working fine with other devices, then a replace should be requested. However, before going to process that please make sure the device is added under your Microsoft account - Add a device to your Microsoft account. Are you able to plug an ethernet cable directly into the console vs the wireless adapter? You may have damaged it when you pulled it out suddenly.
