Xbox Wireless Adapter on Windows 10 Code 10 error even with proper driver

This is not a generic Windows 10 error. This is an error with the driver for the Xbox One wireless adapter. I am sick of this. It is the responsibility of Microsoft to fix the driver for their device.

I just purchased an xbox controller + wireless adapter for Windows 10 and the wireless adapter is not installing the correct drivers. Microsoft Windows Version 1902 (OS Build 18362.329)

The adapter didn't auto-install

Because the drivers for the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows are embedded within the Windows 10 operating system, the adapter should auto-install. If it doesn't, try the following solutions:
