    Xbox Wireless Adapter Issues (again)

Question for microsoft: do you enjoy watching us suffer?? no but really, in the past few years I have not been able to purchase a microsoft product without coming here to fix one thing or another. I have an xbox wireless adapter for my pc and it works just fine when I plug it directly into my pc and also when I plug it into my 20 ft. usb extension cable. It does not work however when plugged into a sabrent 2.0 or 3.0 usb hub and I get a code 10 error regardless of power provided to the hub. Yes, I have tried this with multiple USB hubs, some powered by an AC adapter and some not. I read on another post that the adapter requires more power from a usb port than a thumb drive for instance, but even with a fresh boosted signal from the AC adapter it doesn't seem to work at all. At this point the design flaws and bugs in your products seem intentional so what is your reasoning behind this? Is there a preferred usb hub that allows the xbox wireless adapter to work?? What more do you want from me? I have spent so much just trying to get my setup to work with your **** products lol it's literally driving me insane!

This is the error listed by device manager in the properties window of the xbox wireless adapter. According to what I've read online, this error is due to a lack of power:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}

    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

Please let me know if there is any other information needed to solve this issue.

Thanks in advance to whoever can solve this ambiguous and seemingly impossible request for a functioning microsoft product!

    :)

it likes a direct connection to a port on its own, this benefits the latency for controller input, plus it supports upto 7 controllers all with audio passthough i believe, having it through a usb hub would reduce the available bandwidth.

The thing is, it works just fine when I plug the xbox wireless adapter into a 20 ft usb extension cable or even 2 20 ft cables. I'm not asking for a better signal. The signal is **** tremendous.

I'm asking for a reason why it should work when connected to a 40 ft usb cable but not work when connected to a usb hub plugged directly into my pc's usb ports on the motherboard.

I see you are still missing the point my man. Even if I plug the xbox adapter into a powered hub that is directly plugged into my motherboard's usbs it refuses to work. the adapter takes some offense to USB hubs, regardless of power provided or distance traveled. The issue still remains and I've been **** with it for dayyyysssss. could really use some serious help with this issue. someone who has the means to try this for themselves or look further into it.

After looking further into the code 10 error there are just so many possible causes I have no idea where to start. Heres a link to what ive been reading about it. Someone please let me know which of these solutions is most likely to work for my case or SOMETHING. ****

Also, heres the link to the usb extension cable since apparently the quality of the cable is being questioned for some reason??

Also a link to the hub im using. ive tried almost every model from this brand, 2.0, 3.0, powered and unpowered.

your not getting it, you are plugging into a HUB, this hub splits one usb to how ever many are on it, this will reduce the bandwidth for any connected devices.

one usb port can handle multiple usb items attached but this is all down to how much bandwidth the devices require.

connected direct to the por, it has the full resources of that port regardless of cable length.

connected to hub then to port, bandwidth is reduced by how ever many ports are on the hub

i have a 7 port hub for my pc, the dongle does not work through it due to bandwidth restriction, works on on a dedicated port regardless of cable length.

as i said, a hub splits ONE port into many others, this therefore reduces bandwidth, as the dongle does not use a lot of power a 40 foot cable is still doable, depending on the quality of the cable.
