    Honestly not sure why I'm even bothering to post this given that this same issue has been posted so many times before over the space of about 4 years and seemingly not resolved while all the other posts have been locked.

    This was working without issue on Windows 10 but I recently rebuilt my PC with new parts and installed Windows 11. Now I have a second ethernet adapter registering in Windows which lists the device as being the Xbox Wireless Adapter. The first being my motherboard's adapter. I have no idea why moving to a new PC/Windows installation has caused this to start happening but it can cause absolute havoc with your internet connection. I can't use Bluetooth as it is unreliable. Please fix this and stop locking all the posts. Thanks.

    Are you not able to run an ethernet cable from you wireless adapter to your xbox? You said you are using a usb adapter with a usb cable. I don't believe that will work (if I'm understanding what you said). If you have a wireless adapter that has an ethernet connection, you can run an ethernet cable from the adapter to the xbox.

    I have used a wireless adapter to connect my xbox for years without no issue. What I use has an ethernet connection on the adapter and then I run an ethernet cable to my xbox.

    Turn your computer. Allow the computer to start up and then hook it to your router or modem with an Ethernet cable. You will need to have access to the Internet in order to download updated drivers to run the wireless adapter.

    Plug the USB wire on the wireless adapter into the USB port on your computer. Windows 7 will pick up the new hardware automatically and then attempt to search for drivers. Windows 7 will have generic wireless adapter drivers that it can use, but it is best
    to use driver specifically designed for the adapter.

    Run Windows Update by clicking on "Start" and then "Windows Update" in your program directory. The updater program will come up as a pop-up menu, Click on the "Optional Update" tab and then click on the check box next to the updated drivers for the wireless
    adapter. Click on "Install updates" to install the updated drivers.

    Restart the computer when done. Unplug the Ethernet cable once the computer has restarted.
