  1. Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows Problems

Installs and connects to controller. However once a game is started, the game detects constant trigger pull that is not occurring. I believe this a problem of the driver file xboxgip.sys that it uses. I had the same problem using the XBox One controller
WIRED to my win 10 pc. It installed the same xboxgip.sys driver. Only after downloading and manually installing drivers from "Major Nelson" website did it work correctly. Connecting the wireless adapter auto installs drivers for the adapter itself as well
as the controller connecting to it and there is no way I know of to change the driver of just the wireless controller.

Its frustrating that there is no manual driver install for the adapter as Microsoft is determined to keep this adapter a Windows 10 Exclusive. Might help fix this issue. Next step will probably do a clean install of windows if only to rule out any old 360
drivers or third party drivers interfering. The 360 version worked flawlessly and I loved the product. Been waiting two years for this device to let me down.

    :)

Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows Problems [IMG]

In June, we announced the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows as part of our commitment for designing Xbox accessories to support both Xbox and Windows. Today, we’re excited to share that we’ve started to ship to retailers in most markets around the world, including the U.S.

With the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows, you’ll simply plug the Adapter into the USB 2.0 or 3.0 port of your Windows 10 PC laptop or tablet and bind the Adapter to your Wireless Controller to enable the same gaming experience you’re used to on Xbox One, including in-game chat and high-quality stereo audio. The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows accommodates up to eight controllers per unit, and up to four chat headsets or two stereo headsets.

If you haven’t had a chance to try game streaming just yet, check out these step-by-step instructions. And be sure to try some of this year’s blockbuster games with built-in controller support including Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta, andFable Legends.

The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows will be available for $24.99 USD (MSRP) or bundled with an Xbox One Wireless Controller for $79.95 USD (MSRP).

You came in and locked all the threads and my issue is not resolved, you didn't read my two threads because they both talk about getting audio to come through the controller with an attached stereo headset. You cleared up the issue with the Xbox Accessories
App since it's not out till the 27th but my other issue about the audio is unresolved, no point in making another thread if it'll just be locked I guess, I'll just return the product. Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows Problems :(

  6. No, All the troubleshooter page does is show you how to uninstall the adapter with the hope that it auto installs the next time you plug it in. Was not the problem I described. By manual driver install I meant official downloadable drivers so i could
see if windows was even installing the proper drivers and give me the ability to install those over the ones designated by Windows. If I'm to assume Windows did install the proper drivers than that would indicate a problem with the driver itself. Controller
controller connects, but registers false trigger pulls. I have no other devices connected and even unplugged keyboard to rule out stuck button. At least maybe someone

can confirm my driver files to be correct. Under "Driver Details" for the Adapter in Device Manager. Three file names are shown. "FW_ACC_00U.bin" "mt7612US.sys" "xboxgip.sys"

Hit "Windows key + X" to pull up the power menu, select "Device Manager", the adapter will show up in "Network Devices", you can confirm this by watching your screen while pulling it out of the USB port

I can confirm that I have the same drivers as you listed above.

  8. Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows Problems

O.K., Well apparently the problems I've had are limited to a single game, "Max, the curse of the Brotherhood" (my 6 yr olds) The few others I've tested (GTA5, Battlefield Hardline) are working fine with no false detection of trigger pulls. That being said
the offending game worked good using Xbox One controller through USB using the drivers not designated by Windows 10 but through the installation of the Win 7/8 driver found here. wccftech.com/xbox-controller-pc-drivers-download-courtesy-major-nelson

If you install the ones on the site linked above, those are drivers that will support the bare minimum, no audio and peripherals will be recognized on the controller. The trigger problem seems like a game specific issue. You can use joy.cpl (Start->Run->joy.cpl)
to check calibration for the xbox one controller with win10 drivers vs the 360 controller or the drivers from major nelson's website.

Make sure to get the latest drivers from windows update, by going to device manager, right click on the Xbox One Wireless Adapter and Update the driver.

Thank you for the update and the details! This may be a problem with the adapter itself and if not, then it's possible that this is a Windows related issue. Try following the Troubleshoot the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows guide from the Xbox Support website located below.
