Xbox wireless adapter for Windows 10

Just got my new xbox one controller adapter for pc. But the driver for it could not be found. The device is shown as other device and has a device name called xbox acc. Anyone can help me with it?

Wireless Xbox one adapter compatibility with windows 7

There are two different Xbox One wireless adapters.
The older, bigger one is able to support Windows 7, 8, and 10.
The newer, smaller one only supports Windows 10.

Are any of you able to get audio from it? I plugged my Xbox One stereo headset into my controller but no audio and no way to routing audio to it, is there supposed to be software to control it?

 

Same here! Can't even get it to work....it shows up with a yellow exclamation mark in my Win10 device manager.

It seems we're *** and Microsoft apparently sold us a bunch of defect USB dongles day1.

 

Xbox Accessories App does not exist in the Windows Store, I searched 5 times already

notice that they don't link it, they just tell you search for it... just unbelievable :/

 

Yesterday I received the Xbox One wireless adapter for windows to connect the XBO Controller. I run Windows 10 x64 bit Pro version.

The computer can't find a driver and lists the adapter as "Unknown device" in device manager and has a yellow exclamation mark right next to its name "XBOX ACC". When I try to either manually or automatically let Windows find & install a wirking driver it
can't find one.

I already talked to my local electronics shop (pretty huge store "Saturn" which is a major electronics brand in Europe). The clerk there told me that only within the last 2 hours two other customers came in and returned their wireless dongle because of the
exact same issue I'm describing!

We really need a manually installable driver .msi oder .exe from Microsoft for this wireless dongle!

On another note: The claimed "Xbox Accessories App" is not available in the german Windows Store!

 

Also bought it in Saturn Germany, same issue, brought it back to the store and replaced with a new one that has exactly same problem. Tried connecting both units to 2 PC's I have with Windows 10 without any luck...

 

Guys make sure you upadate your controller via USB by connecting it to the Xbox One console directly, after that pair the controller with your adapter

It will be under Network Adapter in the Device Manager, hit "Windows key + X" to pull up the power menu and go to Device manager to find it. Also restart your computer and try different USB ports, you can also check for a Windows Update

For me the controller works fine, just having issues finding the Xbox Accessories App (which doesn't exist in the windows store and doesn't auto install) and getting my system/game audio to come through the headphones, they are selected as the default audio
device!

 

I'm having a Win10 just as suggested and not an Xbox One console...why should I? It's blatantly stupid to require the console for an update. By the way we are having issues with getting the adapter driver to install. We're not even at the point of connecting
a controller.
