  1. Xbox windows app is constantly tries to update gaming services app even if it is already up...

    I have game pass and every game that I installed was crashing after a while. I discovered that when a game is crushed, the installed games list in Xbox app is disappearing and reappearing after a few seconds. I think the crushing game issue's source is this situation, the app can't see the installed games for a while and something crushes the game. After figuring that out, I restarted my PC, launched the Xbox app and waited for a while to see if the disappearance installed games list was because of any running game but the answer was no. The list is disappearing and reappearing all the time and this happens repetitively after maybe 1 or 2 minutes. While searching for the cause of this situation, I noticed that the Xbox app gave me a notification saying "game service is updated" all the time. When I clicked the notification, it redirected me to the gaming service app's Microsoft store page. I saw that something constantly tries to update the gaming service app. The update sequence starts, completes the sequence, and the app disappears from the update page(as it should be) but after a while it pops up in the update list and tries to do the same things again and again. Also, I found that the disappearance and reappearance of the games in the Xbox application coincide with the completion of the update of the game service application. So, the reason of my crushing games is this situation. After that, I restarted my PC again and launched the store without launching Xbox app and saw the game service app is up to date but when I launch Xbox app, the same things start to happen again and the already up-to-date gaming service app tries to update itself again and again.

    In conclusion, I can say Xbox app tries to update the gaming service again and again even if it is already up to date and because of that I can't play any game at all.

    I tried reinstalling the Xbox and game service app but that didn't solve anything.

    :)

    0x80070005 Xbox PC Download error

    Sadly no. My PC was already up to date. I repaired the gaming services app, and even tried repairing Xbox & Xbox Companion. And the Powershell method did incite an update on my PC but to no avail.

    Thanks for the update mate, I'm doing great too!

    May I know if you have installed any performance / game booster, system optimizer or similar app in your PC?

    Is your windows system and apps up to date and everything mate?

    Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

    Click Check for Updates;

    Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

    Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

    If yes, try creating a new local administrator user and do it again the thing with the services but using that user instead:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/cre...

    After that, try running a game from there

    Edit: If you already tried doing the services thing using the new user and even after that the services changed, ignore this part.

    Whenever I try to download a game this error happens and for games that i have already downloaded it says I dont have access

    Hi Luna.

    My name is Renato.
    I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

    I'm sorry for the error you're encountering. The code should indicate an issue in the system registry.

    I see that you've already tried some solutions, which are usually effective. At this point, if the problem persists, I recommend doing a Windows reset by going to Settings - Windows Update - Restore. However, before doing that, make sure both Windows and all drivers are up to date, and the same applies even if you've reinstalled them for the app and Game Services.

    To update Game services and Xbox app:

    Press the Start button on the taskbar, type store, and open the Microsoft Store app.
    Select Library.
    Under Updates & downloads, check if there are any updates available for the Xbox app or Gaming Services app. If an update is available, select Update.

    Although you probably know, you can perform a Windows reset while keeping your files. The operation is usually quick and often resolves issues.

    Kind regards
