xbox win 10 app not streaming

using win 10 and xbox app 8.8 and when i try to stream, the screen dims and all i get is audio. Anyone else having streaming issues?

optimal sound settings for Xbox One (uncompressed or bitstream?)

another thing regarding sound that I noticed yesterday was the comparison of the Netflix App on my Win 10 PC and the one on Xbox One. The Win 10 App sounded much more dynamic for some reason. Could it be the App itself streams at a higher quality than the one on the One?

Xbox app streaming not (any longer) supports two controllers ?

I am connecting two Xbox one wireless controllers through an Xbox Wireless Adapter to a Windows 10 PC, and always playing my Xbox one console games on Win 10 by streaming, and those all went right and smooth, until the recent updates.

Now, with the latest updates of both the Xbox one console firmware ( 10.0.15063.3054/rs2_release_xbox_1705.170512-1759 ) and the Xbox App ( 29.29.17002.00000 ), only one ( the first working one when streaming starts ) controller is usable in streaming. No
matter in the home page or in game, only one controller is recognized by the console.

The two controllers are the original first gen Xbox one controllers (without 3.5mm jacks), both individually properly recognized by Windows 10 ( Win 10 Pro 1703/15063.296 ) and works well, even inside the Xbox app itself, except streaming.

Any suggestions?

I'm getting the same thing. It did work perfectly for a few days then the same as you for the last 2-3 days. I hit stream and the screen dims, I get the vertical swipe animation from the bottom of the screen (here comes Xbox!) then nothing. The controller
plugged into my PC moves the xbox screen on the xbox itself but the video fails to launch on my PC.

Is this a graphics driver issue maybe - I have an Nvidia GTX 980 with 355.6 latest windows 10 driver. My Xbox app is the latest on the 8.8.15003.00000.

Sometimes if I maximize then minimize the xbox apps I get the screen of the xbox but it's frozen and will update for a frame every few seconds.

My network is ethernet only.

I'd reccomend posting this in the Windows support section of the Support forum, as you're more likely to get a better tailored response then in this section I'd post it in the 'Gaming on Windows' section, which covers streaming issues.

My only suggestion would be to try and remove your console from the Xbox App, and then add it back. This can sometimes kick things back into gear

Hi Icksand3r,

I personally have a Surface Pro 4, and have used it to stream with no issues. It's basically just like any Windows 10 computer, and works the same way.

This link provides a ton of troubleshooting for streaming issues with Windows 10 (more than I could realistically type. First and foremost is making sure your Win 10 Xbox App is connected to the Xbox. If you run into a snag please post back with what step
you're having issues with, or where the connection process is failing.

Yes that is correct. I connected to my Xbox from Win 10 and then started the stream. Then on the laptop I used the keyboard shortcut to start the recording (Win+Alt+R). Let the recording run for 2 minutes and then pressed Win+Alt+R again to stop the recording.
I then get a notification that the recording is complete. I then stop the stream and go to the Game DVR page on the Xbox app to review the recording and found that it is only 40 seconds long. I opened the recording folder in windows explorer and it is still
only 40 seconds long.

I am interested in the answer to this also, I use my Windows Media Center to stream movies to my xbox 360 all the time, and am reticent to upgrade to Win 10 until I can find a way to stream again. If I have Win 10 can I still stream to my 360? At tax time
I'm planning on getting an xbox one, but I really don't want to lose my streaming ability. Is there a post that explains in detail what to do to send a stream to the xbox from pc, without using WMC? Thank you for your time.
