Xbox will turn on and show Xbox logo screen and then go black

Last night I was playing a game on my Xbox and the game froze. I didn't think anything of it and it might not even correlate with the problem I'm having but regardless, I quit the game and tried again and I could not control my Xbox. I could not select anything
at all unless I was in the home menu on the left side of the screen after clicking the home button. So I went over to the settings tab and selected "restart console" thinking that it would fix this issue. But after attempting to restart it and trying all sorts
of resets and such, I have found that I am unable to make any progress with this problem:

My Xbox will turn on just fine and enter the Xbox One logo loading screen but it will sit there for about five minutes before going completely black and just sitting there as a black screen still powered on.

Never had this problem before but I am hoping there is at least a difficult solution to this as playing Xbox for me is the one thing I do the most.

Xbox One takes multiple attempts to turn on.

If your console is not on stand by it takes longer to boot up. It will show the green screen with the loading dots and then go to a black screen for a minute then show the xbox logo. Are you turning it off on the black screen before the logo appears? If
you can turn it on then quickly hold the power button on the front of the console until it turns off then unplug it for 30 seconds from the outlet then plug back in and try powering back on again. Hopefully it will be able to boot up no problem.

 

Stuck on logo screen

hi went to turn my xbox one and it took 30 minutes to go from black screen to xbox logo and its now been on the logo for 3 hours is there a fix for this

 

Ok, so viable solution I found on accident was if you have the setting where notifications will pop up on the side after like fifteen minutes of activity, the you can press you and it will close and then press the xbox button and it should open the menu.
I clicked home from there.

Have you been able to try a
factory restore of the console to check if the issue remains? When following those steps please be sure to keep your games and apps installed when asked to do so.

Also, please ensure that the console is plugged directly into a wall socket as well.

Let us know if the issue remains after trying the factory reset.
