Xbox will not stay connected to the internet and dual NAT type detected

Hi

I’m having major annoying problems with my Xbox one X. Everytime I turn it off I have to “hard reset” to get it to connect to the internet again when I turn it back on, it’s driving me crazy! I’ve tried a lot of the things I’ve been told but none of it seems
to be working. Also when I do manabge to connect I have a dual NAT type, I have tried port forwarding but there may be a chance I haven’t done it right.

I have an ASUS DSL-N16 I’m hoping someone who is familiar with this router can help me!

I’ve attached a picture of my port forwarding attempt to see if I’ve done it wrong and will this solve my connection on start up problems

Xbox One COnnection issue regarding NAT

I have wireless internet, through tower receiver from Kingston Online Services (KOS). My internet connection is fine i can connect to multiplayer games and xbox live but my NAT type is strict, when i attempt to resolve it in my router bysetting all the correct
forwarded port on a static IP address i get odd results. When i try 'Test network connection' i get 'Everything is good'.

When I try 'Test multiplayer connection' it waits 10 or so seconds checking and then says "Not connected - Your network is not set up"

The same result occurs except without any time checking when I attempt 'Test NAT type'

I have a NAT type: strict

and Double NAT detected.

DoubleNAT and multiplayer

Hey! I have a problem with my XBOX ONE S.

On "Current network status", there is always written: "NAT Type: Strict", and "Double NAT detected".

When testing network connection it is all good, but for multiplayer connection and NAT type tests it says: "Your network is not set up".

Im using 4g internet with TP- Link TL MR6400 router.

Can anyone help me to get Nat open?

well I found the answer.... get in touch with your ISP and ask them to put you on a static IP. It costs me £1.50 a month but problem solved

well I found the answer.... get in touch with your ISP and ask them to put you on a static IP. It costs me £1.50 a month but problem solved

Hey there Intruders!

Ok, if you get something that says Dual or double NAT type, that certainly can cause issue. It has to deal with the way your console is connected to your network. If your console does display something about that, try the troubleshooting page entitled

Double NAT detected in your network settings.

When you get a chance,try that and let us know if that helped!

My Xbox is connecting and staying connected just fine.

Would you test your console network connection, please?

Press the Xbox button > Select profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings. Under current network status, the NAT type field displays your current NAT type.

You should aim for your NAT type to be Open. You also want to be sure there are no errors such as Double NAT detected or UPnP not successful displayed.

Please check your internet connection test and tell me the results.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have an issue with Double NAT type. The cause for this is the Xbox is detecting two devices it can connect to, which then gives you that error. Here is a

guide for Double NAT. You may want to call your ISP(internet service provider) for assistance as you need to log into the modem/router.
