    Xbox will not recognize external hard drive.


    When I can get it to see the hard drive it tells me it's almost full, yet won't show me any of the games downloaded on there. Have tried three different externals and all are doing the same thing.

    Perhaps your child's external hard drive is not working. Is your child's external hard drive recognized by the Xbox One? Does it turn on any lights?

    You can use an external hard drive, but the Xbox will only recognize 32 GB of the drive.

    Requires a hard drive.

    You have to have an external hard drive plug in. It does not have to be 360 just reformat it. External hard drives that plug in the USB are not recognized as a hard drive for the 360.

    Yes my main Xbox recognizes the external hard drive. I have already power cycled my other Xbox and reset it in an attempt to get it to recognize the hard drive, but nothing has worked so far
