Xbox will not fully turn on

My Xbox One S will not start up - when I press the Xbox button, it bleeps, then flashes (dimmer than usual) for max. one minute, then the Xbox turns off again. during this time nothing is displayed to the TV, i.e. message on TV says no HDMI signal.

I have tried several trouble shooting routines, but nothing has had any positive effect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do not want to send the Xbox back to Microsoft unless really necessary, thanks.

Thanks for your reply - I have tried all the troubleshooting suggestions that I can find with no luck, so I have sent the console in for repair.

Plug the console into a separate wall power socket.

If you're using a power board with other devices connected, the console will not get the power it requires to operate.

Thanks AquarrzSudnnym for your help - I have tried this and the console is plugged straight into the wall outlet but no luck. Do you know if the HDMI cable needs to be plugged in for the console to turn on?
