Xbox will not display on TV

    Xbox will not display on TV


    Hello all, I cannot seem to get my xbox to display on my new Emerson TV

    I have called Xbox support and they went through the whole troubleshooting issue of restoring to the default settings, I have the HDMI plugged in to the correct port, etc.

    I can get the Xbox to display properly on my old TV but as soon as I unplug the HDMI and move it to the new TV nothing shows up.

    I called Emerson support and they told me to change the xbox display to a lower resolution than the TV which I did that and still nothing. In fact I changed the display setting to every option the xbox allowed me.

    So basically I feel like I've tried everything and nothing seems to be working. Please help me! That would be great!

    "No Signal" in not-full HD TV´s

    Hi, if you connect the xbox to the tv that is does show a display on, then go to settings/console settings/display and disable display discovery. Then connect the xbox to the tv you are getting no display on do you then get a display at all ?

    Hi, the display discovery option is on your console in the display settings not the tv. I will have a look around for more information regarding your tv.

    Xbox will not display on TV

    Reset your TV and Xbox 360's video settings to default, while you have them plugged into each other. Configuring it and plugging it in can lead to problems. Also make sure your TV is capable of 720p or 1080p/i. If it's not, then you're out of luck.

    It has nothing to do with the TV or switching the HDMI, it has to do with a setting on the console. Your Xbox One console automatically detects the display resolution on your
    TV. However, on rare occasions, your console may not detect the TV's resolution correctly
