Xbox will not display on monitor

    Xbox will not display on monitor


    My Xbox One S will not connect to my Dell monitor. I can run 720p on a TV, but not 1080. And on the monitor, there is no display. I've tried restarting the console, changing the Video Fidelity and Overscan, changing out cables, but nothing will work. My
    main problem is the display on the monitor. May someone help me?

    Absolutely! But the display should be able to do 120Hz, but only at 1080P as this is a limitation of FreeSync with HDMI for this display.

    Make sure you enable VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) in the Xbox display settings as this will remove stuttering and screen tearing.

    Just on a technical note, 1440P monitors are not 2K displays. A 2K display is 1080P, 1440P monitors are 2.5K

    thats ok then, but in the long run may be easier to pick up a used screen with hdmi, can be had for 20 pounds sometimes.

    may cause issues as the monitor has to support HDCP too. i know some older monitors that had dvi did not have hdcp either.

    DVI adapters are not bidirectional, your HDMI isn’t handshaking. Some devices handle this OK, guessing 360 isn’t one of them
