xbox will not display hdmi on my vizio tv :(

hey guys i have a vizio and when i plug everything up and have it on an hdmi channel the screen is black and has a tiny white bar and it blinks.now i know everything works on both, so i have no clue why its doing this. i have tried the reset on the
controller and doesnt work, and i have tried hooking it up to a regular tv and switching the display settings to 1080p but when i plug the hdmi in and switch channels it says no signal or no support or just goes black and has the bar above. i would really
like to get it working so i can live stream with my new Roxio game cap.

Sudden HDMI Issue with XBOX 360

Hello,

I've had an XBOX 360 slim for almost 2 years. I've had it plugged into my Samsung Stereo Receiver (via HDMI) with no problems until last week. One day it worked fine, then the next day my TV said "No Signal"...

I started swapping out HDMI cables, but that didn't work.

Finally, I decided to try it plugged straight into the HDMI ports of my TV (a Vizio 55 inch). It appears to work fine through this TV, plugged straight into either HDMI port 1 or port 2.

I tried it on an additional Vizio 47 inch TV that I have. This TV has four HDMI ports. The XBOX 360 works through HDMI ports 1 an 2...but, ports 3 and 4 say "Not Supported".

I tried it on one more TV---a 32 inch Toshiba, and the XBOX 360 does not work at all in any of the Toshiba's HDMI ports.

So... through my stereo receiver, HDMI ports 3 and 4 of the Vizio and through the Toshiba...the XBOX 360 no longer works via HDMI.

I tried:

- Resetting the Display Settings numerous times

- I cleared the Cache

- I rolled my system back (sort of) so that I could reinstall the February update

- I disabled the Display detection option and then re-enabled it



Nothing has worked so far. I'd really like to continue using it through my Samsung Receiver as opposed to plugging it straight into the TV.

 

HDMI Port not Working

Hey, I'm wondering if someone can assist me on a problem I'm having with my Xbox 360's HDMI port…

Everything was working fine (had the same setup for years) until yesterday when I tried to install an HDMI switcher on my Vizio HDTV -- the TV only has one HDMI port and I have more than one HD-ready device hooked up to it, thus the need for the switcher.

Well, as soon as I plugged the switcher in, the Xbox would not display on the TV screen. So, I unhooked the switcher, plugged everything back in as before, and now the Xbox still won't display an image.

Did the switcher somehow fry the HDMI port on the Xbox?

Things to know:

1. The HDMI port on the TV still works -- I've plugged other devices into it and they work fine.

2. The Xbox will display an image with AV cables.

3. I've tried rebooting, pressing RT + Y while rebooting, and all sorts of other combinations … no luck.

Any other suggestions?

 

Maybe this can help:

Start up your XB1 with Power+Eject Button pressed.

(So XB1 will start up ina slow Resolution Mode)

Make shure your TV is on newest Firmware....

I have the similar problem. My TV is a TCL branded. Sometimes when I connected my Xbox One with HDMI to my TV, it is all black out. I kept unplugging and plugging back like many times, still like that. I shook the HDMI cord lightly instead, then sometimes
there came signal. I don't know if it's my TV issue or else. Should I buy a new HDMI? I suggest that you try to shake the HDMI cord lightly, it sometimes might finally give out the signal. I hope my suggestion help!

 

Try other Hdmi ports.

Make shure TV is also Up to date, firmware....

@ spacedefiner: If you are able to get a Signal on TV. It sounds for me that it seems like the HDMI cable is not fitting good, maybe you can try another one which you already own. Perhaps from Tv box or old XB 360.. if you have one I would try this, or borrow
one from a friend. Before getting a new

Or Make shure that it is really plugged in.

Have you done a Hard Reset? Holding PowerButton for -15 seconds...
