    XBOX WILL NOT CONNECT TO WIFI BUT PICKS UP NEIGHBORS


    I have no clue what to do anymore. My Xbox was working perfectly fine a week ago and played every game no problem. Didn't play it for about a week and went to get on and noticed the update. Had issues with the update and the wifi signal. Got it worked
    out and it got updated and as soon as it updated my xbox could no longer access to my wifi at all. Unless my xbox updated it's self by it's self I'm pretty sure it was still using wifi while it was updating. Anyway, now my Xbox one won't even come up with
    my wifi SSID at all, but everything else in my house will connect AND the Xbox will pick up the neighbors wifi or something else that comes up, I really don't even know where it came from or what the heck it even is. Yes I disconnected my headset and anything
    along those lines and I've gone into my router settings and tried to mess around in there. I've tried the MAC address a few times unless I never did it correctly, I don't know. Everything shows up on the router list that is connected except for the Xbox, which
    can't even find the network to start off with, it's like it can't scan for the SSID but it can find the other one?? Would an Ethernet cord work? I seriously don't know what to do and it's getting very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

    Xbox One does not see any SSIDs while my Xbox 360 sees them just fine.

    My Xbox One does not pick up any SSIDs. I have uplugged the Xbox One and plugged back in, restarted the router, and factory reset w/ saved games...it still does not see any wifi networks. It's just blank. It doesn't see my wifi or any of my neighbors
    wifi within range. If i try to manually type in the SSID it just says "connecting..." and does nothing and i end up back at the original screen of "choose your network connection...wired or wireless".

    The odd part is that my Xbox 360 picks up my wifi network just fine. It sees my wifi network and my neighbors that live within range.

    I don't want to factory rest the entire thing if it's just going to be a hardware problem that requires repair.

    NAT error even when plugged directly into modem.

    Alright, I'm all connected when I'm plugged in but my xbox stopped reading my wifi (it reads my neighbors though)

    Is it possible that a neighbor has a WiFi broadcasting on the same channel?

    Some WiFi routers have a diagram showing nearby WiFi accesspoints and their WiFi channel.

    Be aware that WiFi channels block the two adjacent frequency channels up and down the chosen channel.

    So if a neighbor has chosen Channel 6 for their WiFi, channels 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are occupied by that neighbor WLAN. So if you have chosen channel 8 for example, your WiFi overlaps on channels 6, 7 and 8, which might lead to the problems you describe.

    Sorry but that doesn’t help. Like I said, when the wifi is down my Xbox still accepts a hotspot. When the internet is running on my phone and computer, the Xbox doesn’t recognize any wifi including hotspots or neighbors
