Xbox will boot but get stuck on black/gray screen

I don't think the it has anything to do with the HDMI cable. I also getting a Black Screen. if I reset the DTV box i show it booting up and it gets stuck on "receiver doing a self check". and it stays there until I hook it straight back into the TV and
if i hook it back into the X1 I get the black screen.

Ok basically I turn on my xbox 360 and it gets pass the xbox 360 part but then basically gets stuck at a gray screen where a circle is spinning but won't load my dashboard ...just trying to basically fix this issue

I have just experienced the same issue. My Xbox crashed in the middle of an update and now after the green boot up screen I get the black screen of death. I've tried soft and hard reboots and after holding down the sync and eject button I am now stuck in low resolution black screen of death.

Not sure what I'm supposed to do and now my sons and I are without a gaming machine.

I'm having the same issue, stuck on the first update. Did tried everything the support pages tell. And I can't get the USB to boot - it simply does not echo the two beeps. Instead the screen stays black if I hold the eject and the bind button.

so i get stuck at the green xbox one screen for several minutes and then it goes black and a gray screen pops up "something went wrong" and it gives me this error code 0x80070102 i go this website to look up the error code and its unknown error code even
microsoft doesnt have a clue wht the *** is going on, IM SO *** *** I HAVE A APPLE COMPUTER AND I DONT THINK I HAVE A USB STICK SO *** ME RIGHT MICROSOFT IM *** OUT OF LUCK
