Xbox WiFi just breaks.

Approximately every three weeks the wifi on my xbox just stops working. It happens both when I'm using it and when I'm not. When I try to reconnect it asks for a password and when it gets to the check it says "Can't connect to your wireless network." I have tried multiple wifi sources and it still doesn't connect. So far the only fix that has worked for me is factory resetting my console.

If anyone knows any other solutions or how to help please reply.

Hello Reubs567, have you recently switched network equipment in your home, your modem/router for example, or even some firmware update?

Usually the two networks 2.4 and 5.0 have to be enabled on the equipment, but even if they are setting the channel can cause there to be more difficulties to be recognized by the equipment.

By definition the channels come in automatic, but if you have access to the administrator settings of your modem/router the ideal would be to manually try each channel to see if the console recognizes without a factory reset.

It was not my intention to break the rules of this forum. I'll rephrase my question.

If the WIFI board for some reason becomes completely fried (or the chips on it just stop working), will the Xbox One still function if controllers are connected using Charge and Play, and an Ethernet cable is connected for Internet access?

Just an update.

It has still been happening after uninstalling the expansions.

When it happens it's always after dying while playing crucible in destiny.

It's as though it breaks the wifi adaptor in the xbox one because after that I can't reconnect. until I have done a full shutdown which again will often get stuck with a flashing white light and never shut down.

Just to confirm it's nothing to do with my router I have switched on my ps4 which is connected to a 5GHZ wifi bridge which connects and works fine so there is nothing wrong with the 5ghz wifi signal from my router.

I have tried with lan cable nothing happen. On lan the connection keep on breaking.

At least not on wifi.

5G WiFi is much faster. It can support 500 MBPS speed. (Till now I tested).
