Xbox WIFI Awful Since Update

Hello,

I noticed today after the latest update that my WIFI signal has drastically degraded for Xbox One. My Samsung Galaxy S4 is detecting strong signals in the same room as Xbox One. I have used Xbox One on 2.4GHz WIFI since launch with only one issue on Day
One, when the system was crashing my entire network. During that time I called D-Link and they put me on with a specialist technician. I am
pretty sure that technician asked me to change the router AES and TPIK settings to just TPIK and everything played nice.

Today my Xbox One is getting less than 1mbps on upload and only like 3mbps on download. I reset everything; the router, modem, and Xbox One MAC. I go to my Galaxy S4 to run an Ookla Speedtest and it's pushing 30mbps download and 6mbps upload from the same
spot. Yes, my Galaxy S4 is running on the same 2.4GHz wireless N network as the Xbox One. My Xbox One has been great for a long time. While WIFI gaming is not ideal and perfect, my connection was very playable and perfect most of the time. Today I am seeing
everyone warp all over Titanfall and I am lagging awfully. Sometimes I cannot even access lobbies. Sometimes Xbox Live just kicks me off.

I called XBL Support and the technician ran me through the motions once more, only to tell me my ISP may be messed up. All tests on other devices tell me the Xbox One is having the problem. If anyone knows whats up, or if I find out a solution, I will post
here. Thanks!

Xbox WIFI Awful Since Update

Any solution? My x1 is getting only 1 mbps now but in the same room my s4 is getting 38mbps. I called time Warner to try port forwarding and they said they can't do it anymore and to contact Microsoft. I am waiting to hear back from Microsoft now

 

How Did The Xbox One Pass Quality Testing?

My xbox has been awful since update instant on just wont work has put me off playing recently

 

Disconnect all devices from the network, on the Xbox, Reset Alt Mac Addr once more, then when it turns on, delete the cache by holding the power button on the front of the console for ten seconds. Keep the console off. At the point the only network device
that should be on is the router, so if you look at the lights on the router, all should be solid. If one is flashing, then go play Hide and Seek with your wireless devices because something is still connected. After the lights are completely solid, pull the
cable out of the back of the router, keep it off for 5 minutes. After that turn the Router back on, wait 2 minutes, all lights should be back on and solid (If not, find the device that's connected) After that turn the Xbox on, and test the multiplayer connection
once more.

The update itself will not cause your speeds to drop, however, an update will cause you to get a new DHCP lease, which means it acts like the Xbox is a newly connected device. Some routers are set to give a "priority" device the majority of the speed, while
giving secondary devices a throttled amount to share equally. With routers like those, that's when you get this error. The Xbox was most likely a priority device, and when you did the update, it removed it from priority.

If these steps don't work, make sure you're wired and not wireless (As you will always get better speeds from a wired connection and will never ever get your fastest possible speeds using wireless because there is not a direct connection, its spread through
the room.

 

Yeah, did all that, Xbox still has trouble getting signal. Its not the network because the Xbox One has been great up until this update. I see others with similar problems.

 

Everything is better today. Not sure what happened, but I can use the Xbox without connection issues.

 

Did you have unusual weather? That can cause a lot of disturbance with Wi-Fi.

 

I'm having this issue now and reset didn't work. wired xbox one has 11 mbps upload, wireless has 1!!

 

My wi fi is so slow only two sometimes three bars when a week ago i had full strength
