xbox why do you want me to switch to playstation??

I'm fairly new (in my old age) to gaming and bought an xbox 360 with kinnect prob about a year before xbox one came out. Boy the kinect and some of the regular games got me hooked and I love the xbox and kinect.

I might be wrong here but it seems originally, xbox allowed access to netflix and other free apps but now you have to pay to have xbox gold membership to run all those fun FREE apps that you can run for FREE on playstation and even on Blue-ray players.

I'm not very good at playing these games even though I enjoy them so at this point in time I'm not interested in gold membership to play with others. There wouldn't be anyone at my low skill level to play with anyway! But I sure would like to get rid
of the 100 different devices and just do everything through a gaming system. But when xbox wants me to pay them to access free stuff something is seriously wrong!!!

You know soon the time is coming to upgrade gaming systems.. either xbox one or ps4. Right now, even though I love my xbox and kinect and would hate to see it go xbox themselves are convincing me that there really isn't a "one" when it comes to xbox.
Sounds like the true "one" is with Playstation.

I'm really disappointed in you xbox. I really wish you would do the right thing and allow us to run all those FREE apps for FREE. In the long run you would end up with more business-- you'd keep old business, generate new business, and the oldies will
also generate new business for you.

As it stands I need a playstation just to run the apps I want to run for my bigscreen tv. So unless xbox decides to let us run those for free, I won't be upgrading to xbox one which I'd like to do, INSTEAD I'll be upgrading to PS4.

So wierd that xbox is actually sending loyal xbox customers to Sony!! Doesn't make any sense! I hope they stop before its time for me to upgrade.

Besides the whole Xbox thing, why do you want to get rid of your Switch? Do you not like it or something?

So will you switch back when your PS4 controller breaks? Why people wait for red flags to do what they really want to do. Just go do it.

 

Actually, you've always needed a gold subscription in order to use those apps on the Xbox. However, they just announced earlier this month that you not longer need a gold subscription to use the apps starting in June.

 

That is good news to hear, I hope it will come true!

I thought when I first got it I watched u-tube videos but if gold was required then it must have been my blue-ray player I watched those from.

I hope they open them up next month and keep them open. If they do, I won't have to switch to sony and hopefully I will stop hearing from all the vendors and people that I need a playstation to do this or that.

Are they starting this the 1st of june or is there a target start date?

 

I do believe I will be switching to PS also. Xbox One won't most of the 360 games I have and the One games offered SUCK. And as an added bonus I can't play two 360's online on my Gold membership as I can with One... so I'd have to buy another membership...
YES. That's what I want to do. Give you more of my money. Or buy another Xbox One.... again more money to MS. I think not at this point. So disappointed in the last year. PS4 has SO much more to offer. It will take a lot to change my mind at this point.
