Xbox what went through your heads when you made the rep system?

The fact is that Microsoft admitted that they messed up with the rep system AND said they are going to fix. Which has been typical of them the last 3 years....screw up and then try to fix it later.

 

Whatever is or isn't wrong with the Rep system why not just make it simple ...

Have a Block option, use it to avoid a player that is just too good and you stand no chance against, avoid a player that maybe had some banter that went a little too far etc etc! This option though doesn't effect the rep of either player, just stops you
from ever being matched with the person in question.

For more serious issues have some sort of email support system in place. For one I believe it would stop time wasters just hitting the report button, would they spend a few minutes sending a mail? I know this way it takes longer but personally if I thought
there was cause to report someone for being racist, abusive etc I wouldn't mind taking a few minutes of my time sending an email.

 

I don't understand what your problem is OP, you have a good reputation on Xbox One.

Though judging by your attitude in your opening post, if you carry that same attitude online, I can see why people would report you.

Chill out, ignore the idiots online, and just continue to chew gum. If you're a genuinely sound gamer then you have nothing to worry about.

 

Microsoft did a Rep reset. At the time the OP posted he was in the red zone. It's obviously not an issue anymore to him anymore as he hasn't posted again.

 

I've stopped playing online due to the fact many people was reporting for being *Too Good* with some games, some players become very aggressive on Black Ops 2...

I'd stay away from playing online in shooting game, Gears Of War 3 multiplayers is more better in terms of players not being angry.

 

Why stop playing entirely for something that others are doing that will have ZERO effect on your rep?

A mate told me Microsoft performed a Rep Reset but why?

Now I'm not saying either way but does that tell us there's a problem because surely Microsoft are not going to reset the Rep of a gamer that actually deserved their bad status if you get my meaning.

Was that an across the board reset then? If so definitely indicates there was an overall problem and it could be manipulated...

 

Dunno mate,all i know is there were loads of threads in the support forums complaining that their rep had suddenly gone straight into avoid me yet there were no or very few reports filed against them & all of a sudden all of them were back on good player
with no explanation.

 

It was due to certain games' automated or in-game report setups (HMCC and GoWUE, for example) that tied directly to the rep system, that could automatically affect your rep or be abused, without being comfirmed by enforcement first - that's the flaw and
what's being fixed. As for the reset, I'm certain it's only for players effected by those games' setups and not necessarily everyone.

Well, however many were reset it sounds to me like there was something wrong with the rep system!

So maybe , just maybe all the posts we have seen on the forums where people claimed their innocence were innocent after all? not all but maybe a few?

A company or a corporation for that matter would probably never admit to a mistake due to legal reasons.

At the very least, it looks like it's being sorted out/fixed so that's one good thing.

 

Source please GG or is that your supposition? And source for GoW having an automated reporting system while your at it?
