Xbox was stolen

So approximately 8 hours ago my xbox was stolen. To the more tech savvy people out there, will I be able to locate it using my serial number if it is ever connected?

If your console was stolen you need to be more concerned than your “home” console.

The police will sort out recovering your stolen XBox.

Your insurance should sort out replacing your stolen XBox.

You can't track a stolen console like you can track a stolen cell phone. Sorry

 

If your console was lost or stolen, change your password immediately.

1. Sign in to
   https://account.microsoft.com with your Microsoft account.
2. Go to Security.
3. Select Change Password to reset the password for your Microsoft account.
4. You may be asked to verify that you’re the account owner by receiving a security code.
5. Enter your current password.
6. Enter and confirm your new password.

We recommend you report your stolen console to your local law enforcement as well as your insurance company. You’ll need to provide the serial number for the missing console. To find it:

1. Sign in to
   https://account.microsoft.com with your Microsoft account, and select
   Devices.
2. Scroll down to the console that was stolen.
3. The serial number will be listed under the device’s name.

You may want to review your billing activity to make sure the person who has your console hasn’t made any unauthorized charges.

   account.microsoft.com, go to Payment and billing > Order history.
2. If you don’t recognize a charge,
   contact us.
3. Keep an eye on your account to make sure that any possible unauthorized charges have time to be posted to your account.
