    My Xbox one controller was sent for a replacment a month ago. It supposed to be 14-21 day bit still no words from it. What can be done? Hard to believe a simple controller replacment take this long

    Extended Warranty - really necessary?

    No point to be honest.

    1. Sign into your Xbox profile on Xbox.com
    2. Register your console using the serial number

    You will have 15 months warranty provided by Microsoft which is default. My console warranty runs out on February 2015. So to me extended warranty is pointless and by that time if my console is faulty after warranty I don't think it will cost too much for out of warranty repairs unlike Sony (money leeches). By the way you get same warranty on Kinect too Xbox warranty :)

    Will You Be Modding Your XBOXONE

    I would stay way from modding it since it can void the warranty. If something goes wrong after modding the system and there is no warranty then you're on your own.

    On the other hand if the XBox is not under warranty there is no harm in trying something new if you're sure of what you're doing.

    I talked with them last weekend , they looked into it, but not much happened since then.im in hungary. Just wondering if ever had similar problem. Heres a pic of the process

    It's my understanding that controllers (and other Xbox accessories) are only warrantied for 90 days, "Product Warranty: Xbox One console"
    . You should be able to check the current warranty status at "Xbox warranty information" . However, it is possible that if you purchased
    the controller with a credit card it may still be covered by an extended warranty through them. If this is the case, I would recommend contacting your credit card company directly.

    The warranty for the console is for one year and accessories is for 90 days. If you purchased the "complete for Xbox" within 45 days of buying your Xbox one the warranty is for 3 years.
