Xbox VRR won't activate

I recently started using a monitor and am having issues trying to enable the VRR option on Xbox Series X

Running a 240hz Monitor 2.0 HDMI with FreeSync.

Everytime I enable VRR in system settings on my console by screen goes black and periodicly flashes a bright white light (about 3 times) before returning back to the options menu woth VRR not selected. Can Anyone please provide some insight to why this is
happening? I know it's on the console end.

That's a very obscure monitor. The PDF doesn't even let you search with the usual keyboard shortcut CRTL+F...

The manual doesn't list any timings for this display. And this monitor is not listed on AMD's website for approved FreeSync monitors, despite the monitor saying it supports this feature.

What refresh rate are you trying to achieve? It's unlikely 120Hz will work over HDMI. The 240Hz refresh is likely locked to the Display Port interface.

Your monitor has three HDMI ports and one DP port. Two of these ports are HDMI 1.4,
only the third is HDMI 2.0 (its the one next to the Display Port).
Make sure your console is using this HDMI 2.0 port.

Try the screen at 120Hz and if that doesn't work try 60Hz with VRR.

Other than that there isn't a lot else I can help you with. Your monitor may not be fully compatible.

What monitor is it? Make and model please.

Just because a monitor is rated as a high refresh rate doesn't mean it will work the same and support the same timings over HDMI.

Hi. I have a Series X and bought 4 days ago a LC C1 55"

Yesterday while playing Warzone and Halo Infinite w/ 4k@120 fps // HDR // Freesync Premium & VRR GSync activated on the TV // HGIG // Using the series X HDMI 2.1 cable --> every (5-20 minutes) i get a black screen for about a second before the image goes up again (audio still there) ive tried to:

Turn off Freesync Premium keeping VRR GSync activated but that didnt solved the issue

Go from PC mode on the LG to Game mode but that didnt solved the issue

Turn off completely the Xbox series X and unplug the LG C1 but that didnt solved the issue

Has anyone experienced this? is there a workaround? this didnt happened with my X900H 55" Sony (granted i didnt activated VRR in that TV)

I dont even know if the issue is VRR or if its another config of either the TV or the Xbox

Same issue!! is almoust a year i'm talking with xbox customer care or LG customer care. many clients has the same issue. then i bought also a samsung, problem solved! it is LG working with xbox the problem.

I disagree.

I would just leave it at 120Hz for the most part. Most games have the option in-game for either 60 or 120. I think there are only a few that lock the game to the system setting.

There won't be an adverse affect to leaving it on 120. Just make sure VRR is enabled (as long your display supports VRR).
