"Xbox..." voice commands & OneGuide broken in last night's update?

I have a day one xbox one and have used voice commands since the beginning... They have always for me. I also have our cable running through it... also working since the beginning.

PROBLEM #1
Without any changes to my setup, I woke up this morning and the xbox wouldn't wake on command ("xbox on")... so I turned it on from the front panel. Still, no commands worked.

PROBLEM#2
In OneGuide watching the TV... the xbox no longer recognizes that its in use. The screen-saver turns on every 10-minutes... so I turned off the content-on-suspend and switched the sleep time to 60-minutes... now its turning off my entire entertainment center
every 60-minutes--WTF!!!... and there's no option to disable the sleep mode.

What I have tried:
- Restarted Xbox (3-times. No change)

- Unplugged/Plugged-in Kinect (No change)

- Ran the Kinect sound troubleshooting/calibration (Recognizes the mic & speakers)

- Ran the entire Kinect setup (Approved the setup)

- Disabled the "inactive" content option

- Extended the sleep time from 10 to 60 minutes (or I would have gone insane)

Summary

- 100% not-responsive to voice commands

- Treats OneGuide/TV watching like inactvity

- Shuts down Xbox, TV & Receiver after 1hr of being in OneGuide (despite movement in front of the Kinect)

... so what's the deal? Did they fire everyone who cares about Kinect and OneHub because they're not part of the One X... and now those features are just going to stop working... This is starting to feel like what happened to my Windows Phone and is the
kind of poor treatment/punishment MS dolls out to brand loyalist that is exactly why they continuously fumble in the consumer space.

Suggestions

- Review your QC process

- Don't release software on a Friday if you're not prepared to support it (this is embarrassing)

- Look into your support chat tool. I went from position 30-to-5 in 15-minutes... I've been at 5 for 50-minutes (this is a scam)

OneGuide app won't open after Preview Update

After last night's update, the OneGuide crashes when attempting to open.. I have cleared the cache (Hard reboot and persistent storage through Blu-Ray app). Please help...

 

OneGuide functionality in the UK

I am from Russia. I recently bought a Xbox One. It works fine and understands my voice commands in English.

In Xbox One (OneGuide) no support for Russian cable television providers. And no voice commands to change channels.

I'd like to have voice commands: NEXT CHANNEL, PREVIOUS CHANNEL and CHANNEL [NUMBER CHANNEL].

If your console is normally online and connected to Microsoft and you have received a console update yesterday then chances are that you are in the Xbox Insider Program, If you are in the insider program can you please post this in the

Xbox Insider forums for assistance.

Also if you are in the Insider Program then there is a possibility that you will experience as you are running software that is still in development.

thank you! I initially thought that was the case, charged and checked my insider settings on an old lumia 920... hadn't been enrolled for years and was on the production ring when it was.

After seeing your message, figured out how to check, launched the xbox insider app, joined, then saw that I was on the omega preview.

Not sure how/why my xbox was auto-enrolled... and on the fast-ring.

To Unenroll

The normal path under "Insider Content > System (far right) > Xbox One Update Preview > Manage > Unenroll" returns an error asking you to complete with the user that enrolled. I tried all users accounts on my xbox... obviously nobody signed up for it, so
this option didn't work. Instead.... had to go under "Settings > Manage Devices > Select checkbox next to device > Remove"

Removing the xbox from the preview program (that I never signed up for), doesn't return it to the latest production build, but Settings>System>Update is available (normally disabled).

Running the update now. Fingers crossed that I don't need to run a factory reset

 

UPDATE: Fixed. After removing my device from the preview program and running the update, my xbox went into an endless load screen (ran 3hrs without progress. stopped it and ran for another 1hr... no progress).

I had to go to system > reset and I'm back to normal. The reset was quick & painless (30-minutes). It kept all of my files and restored my settings after logging in with my master account.

All systems are normal.

 

My experience is similar. None of the voice commands work for me anymore but on top of that...

I try to load up a game and the initial game screen loads but then it just goes back to the home screen. When I open Games and Apps, it just spins forever, and it never shows the number of "games", "apps", "ready to install", or "updates". However "memberships"
populates just fine. My cable company "Spectrum" has an app and i'm able to watch TV using that App, but "CrunchyRoll" app never loads. Lastly, if I try to go to Settings > System > Storage, the menu freezes. I have to use the home button to go home and quit the
"Settings" app. Is any of this happening to you?

 

As gds1972 mentioned this is not the proper place to post Insider issues.

Be sure to post to the preview forums to get that info the proper teams and get the quickest assistance! Also, if you are able to be sure to use the Insider app to file a bug report.

This is the best way to handle ALL Insider issues as the standard support teams do not have knowledge of or access to the Insider info.
