Xbox video tv show and movies gone; not in purchase history either

I bought carrie and instead of playing, it just kept saying loading for about half an hour, so I did a cold restart. When I turned the console back on all of my tv shows and movies were gone from my videos. They're not on the hard drive either. Nor are
they listed in purchase history/account management. She I try to "buy" the movies, in the hopes that it will just re-download, it says I already own the item and that's it. I can't play it or download it. It seems to have charged me for an episode of dracula
I rebought. I've tried clearing the systems cache (and restarting), deleting the marketplace cache in system items (and restarting), and deleting and redownloading my gamer tag (and restarting). Any ideas?

    :)

  2. All purchases with Xbox video have disappeared...

My movies and tv episodes are gone as well. I have followed every guide I can find on these forums for any possible fix and nothing has worked so far. I tried buying an episode to see if it would show in purchase history so I could click X and refresh,
but each of my tv series I normally buy are unavailable. All my purchases show on the xbox video site, but they don't seem to be syncing with my xbox 360. Also, my payment information doesn't seem to be loading properly.

  3. Missing Tv Episodes & Movies No Option To Refresh Purchase History

All of my movies and TV shows that I have purchased are not showing up on my Xbox 360 except for the most recent TV show that I just now bought. Even the show I bought yesterday is missing. I read the "Xbox Music & Video troubles?
START HERE!" post and it suggested I refresh my purchase history but when I went to Account Management there is no option to press X to refresh my purchase history. So I pushed X anyway and nothing happened. When I go to Xbox video on my computer EVERY purchase
I've made is there, including the show I just purchased on my 360. I've restarted the app and I've restarted the console but neither helped. Like I said, everything that I have purchased save what I just now bought is not showing up and I'm not given
the ability to refresh my purchase history.

I deleted the music and video app in settings --> system --> storage --> games and apps, and my stuff is back. Oh, and I also cleared the cache again and restarted the xbox just in case.

How do I classify videos as movie or tv so they appear with purchased movies or tv shows?

I have a collection of movies and TV shows saved on a NAS drive. I copied a movie and a TV series locally to the Surface in to the appropriate folders alongside videos purchased from the XBox store.

The paths created by the XBox store when I downloaded the purchased material are as follows:

    C:\Users\username\Videos\Movies

    C:\Users\username\Videos\TV

So (as I mentioned) I copied my wmv videos in to the Movies folder for the movie and in to the TV folder for the TV series (following the same folder convention as used by the XBox store (C:\Users\username\Videos\TV\Show Name\Season Number) and following
the same file naming format (Episode number follows by Episode Name).

This means my personal material is saved alongside the purchased material on the Surface. The fact that the material appears in the "Other" classification instead of in either "TV" or "Movie" leads me to think that there must be some metadata somewhere that
the XBox Video App is using to classify things instead of the folder structure.

I'm really hoping someone can help explain how it works, what to change in my own collection manually and whether there are any tools out there that would make batch editing easier.

    Thanks for replying

    Please help

    Hi there,

    Did you check your
    purchase history
to see if the DLC/purchase shows there with an option to re-download?

I also looked up what the Sunny Side Battle is specifically, and everything I find says you should see it as a video to watch from the video player on the console like other TV/Movies.

After most recent live update, Xbox video purchases have disappeared.

    Hey try this steps:

Go to TV & Movies > Xbox Video > My Videos > Account Management > then press X to Refresh Purchase History

It should refresh your account with all the movies you've owned.

Just make sure you are signed in on the account you've used to purchase these videos.
