    Xbox video - stuttering/juddering picture


    I get horrible stutters on xbox rental on our windows 8.1 nettop computer through xbox.com. Using the xbox video app for windows 8 fixes the stutters, but seems to come with a wealth of other problems like the quality of the picture frequently going bad
    (even though our internet is at a stable 24~25 Mbits), freezes, audio going out of sync ..

    The whole service just seems to suck on a windows system. I'm done using it.

    Anybody else experience picture problems when streaming movies (rental and purchased) from Xbox Video - the picture seems to stutter/judder all the way through !!

    I rented RED 2 last night(through Xbox Video), and it did in fact stutter... Not bad enough for my wife to care, but I did, and drove me borderline crazy.

    Heat IS not an issue with my setup...I also paused the movie, in hopes that it was a buffering/download issue, but that didn't seem to matter. I'm also using all my pre-existing HDMI cables(3D works flawlessly), which have no issues without the XBOne...
    So there is something else going on..

    Hate to sneak in my own question, But can anyone find any info on how purchases work? Are they saved to the One's HDD, or are they all(rented/owned) streamed? I can't find any docs on how that works....

    I am having the same experience. It's not major but in scenes where the camera pans it is much more noticeable. The same thing occurs when watching Blu-ray discs. I think its a codec issue because when I watch the same Blue-rays on my htpc through the Xbox
    One's hdmi input I do not experience the stutter. I also watch TV in Windows Media Center on my htpc and there is no stutter.

    I just encountered some major stutter in Forza 5, TV, Netflix... There was also lots of audio lag and the system as a whole was acting strange. It didn't seem hot (it stays on almost all day on the weekends). I turned everything off for about 5 minutes
    then it all seemed to be back to normal.
