    Xbox: Video streaming apps do not work


    Hello,

    Today most of my video streaming apps have stopped working (Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video). Oddly BBC iPlayer does still work The problem apps open and function, all content information is displayed but when you start to watch a video they play for 1-2 seconds maximum before displaying an error message. This is on a Series X console.

    I have tried the following so far:

    • turning it off and on again.
    • Holding down the power button for 10 seconds, unplugging the mains power supply for a few minutes (multi times).
    • Uninstalling and reinstalling each app.
    • Console reset, initially keeping games and apps and also a full reset.

    Any ideas?

    Sorry, but it is not currently possible to upload console-streamed game videos. When you record a streamed game, the GameDVR video is associated with the Xbox app, not with the streamed game (because the recording feature doesn't know you are streaming or
    what you are streaming). Consequently it cannot be uploaded (Xbox Live knows that the Xbox app is not a game).

    I have found a work around. Load up youtube app on your phone, play any video, stream video from phone to xbox. Bypasses all problems and works fine after.
