Xbox Video is currently behaving like an inferior service

Why isn't the Season 2 Finale of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. up on Xbox Video yet? It's been over 24 hours all of the other providers (Amazon, Hulu, iTunes, etc.) have made the two-part finale available since early this morning. I have watched most
of the episodes the day after they originally aired using the season pass on xbox video. Each of them were viewable by the time I woke up in the morning. Did someone at Xbox forget to press a button? I grow impatient.

I contacted Xbox Support about the Season Pass issue affecting Episode 10, and they informed me of the below:

Support: We have consulted your issue with our product team and they confirmed that they are still working on the release of episode 10 The Walking Dead, Season 3 Xbox Live for Season Pass holders. They confirmed that you should be able to access it within
24-72 hours. Although you can purchase the episode individually, you will still have to wait 24-72 for the release of this episode on Xbox Live.

: Okay, so it's a system wide issue right now, and basically I should just keep checking to see when it's available.

Support: Yes because we have partnership with the producers of The Walking Dead and we are still waiting a go signal from their end to allow the release of this episode on Xbox Live.

Support: As much as we would like the content to be available to our users, the producers of this show is still not allowing us to release it on Xbox Live.

Support: But we assure you that you should be able to access the episode within 24-72 hours.

So, we'll all have to wait and keep checking over the next three days until it becomes available.

 

XBOX Video - inferior service

Why is the Xbox video service inferior to Amazon instant? The latest episode of the Walking Dead is available on Amazon and has been all morning. It is now 11:30 and it is still not available to download.

 

Same here with both Flash and Arrow! Going on 48hrs and still no new Flash episode...

 

this is ridiculous, this is why people pirate, we pay more than 30$ for a season pass and we cant even get a reliable service, on top of the 50$ we pay a year for another service that no ones bragging over.

Well then, that rules out a simple disagreement between Xbox/Microsoft and ABC/Disney.

 

I just wish it was easier to actually find info on this...this 'forum' is a joke for actually trying to stay informed.

I tried responding to xbox entertainment on facebook too but...they don't seem to care over there either. They got our money...

I can't even reply to individual comments on this site. It's archaic. Anyways, I checked and other shows that aired on the same night and on the same networks as Agent's of Shield and The Flash have been made available already. This seems intentional.

(As of 13:00 EST Thursday May 14: the May 12 and May 13 episodes of AoS, The Flash, and Arrow remain unavailable on Xbox Video.)

 

Well, I fell a little better knowing others are not getting these shows...I mean misery loves company I guess...

But as you say, someone needs to get a move on and release these shows...I admit I paid $$$s to get the shows in HD AND to avoid commercials, but I also want to see them at least the day or so after they first air!

I have a season pass to this and The Flash, and they both haven't been put up yet. This is kind of ridiculous.

I am wondering, the three we are talking about in this thread, Agents of Shield, Flash and Arrow are all part of the "FINALE" sale on Xbox Video...I wonder if this is connected to that? Gotham is on there, I wonder if it's final episode is up yet?

I have the same problem. This will likely be the last time I buy TV shows on xbox. Episodes 21-22 don't even show up in the store, or on the website.

 

Now Flash comes up for me, but it won't register that I already have it. It wants me to pay for the episode. I had that happen once before, and it was resolved about a day later. The Agents of SHIELD finale still doesn't show up at all.
