Xbox Video giving me error 0xc101a249 when I try to watch my purchased videos.... yet I can ...

Is anyone else having issues playing their purchased videos? I've been pulling my hair out since last night and I was in chat with support for almost an hour this morning and the issue has not been resolved. The good thing is that it will be addressed with
higher support staff...

Basically I sign in and I'm able to play multiplayer matches like Titanfall online but when I go to try to watch movies or TV episodes I've already bought Xbox Video gives me this message: "Something went wrong. Try again later." At the top it has a SIGN
IN header indicating it has something to do with signing in or my tag not being recognized by the marketplace.

But again as I said I'm able to play online so the whole thing is weird. Is anyone else having these funky issues between their account and sync issues with Xbox Video. It's really frustrating to know I've bought stuff I can't watch

Again the error code is 0xc101a249. Does anyone know what this is about?

I've done the power cycle, hard boot, unplug etc.. deleting my account, adding it back, uninstalling then re-installing xbox video but still ...NOTHING. Can anyone please help? I posted this here because there seems to be more traffic here.

Youtube will not play 'popular' videos

Well, yet another glitch to disallow me from watching videos on the Youtube app, this one is a strange one.

Essentially whenever I try to play some Youtube videos it will just send me back to the Youtube homepage, there are only a few correlations that these videos seem to have in common:

- Videos with advertising

- Popular videos (anything with over ~50K views)

Now, the only thing that seems to work (sorta), is by deleting my savegame for Youtube, where I can watch one video. When loading this video I am prompted with the standard dialog

"The Video and Music Status for [GT here] is set to allow apps to show titles of videos you watch in your Xbox LIVE online status. To change your Video and Music Status setting., go to Settings, Privacy"





When dismissing this dialog by pressing "ok" I will be able to watch any video, once, before getting returned to the Youtube homepage again and again when trying to play 'popular' videos.

Clearing the cache and re-installing Youtube will just give me the temporary fix as stated, signing out then in doesn't work.

So, uh, any advice?

 

I am having problems with xbox 360 S HDCP Link not found?

I have my xbox 360 slim hooked up with Hdmi for my video and my audio coming out of the original composite cable that came with the xbox 360 running to my sound bar. It works great for games and also works great for Netflix also, but when ever I try to watch a Dvd disc or Xbox video I get this message that the Hdcp link is not found how can I fix this so that I can watch Dvd disc and xbox video without get Hdcp Link not found?

Also in Xbox Video the movie previews work fine it's only on the stuff I bought from xbox video, I haven't rented anything from xbox video ever since I started getting this error that the HDCP Link Not Found.

Also my video settings are 1080p, Widescreen, Hdmi+A. And I have the display Discovery Disable also.

 

Sounds like a problem with the login or access server for the video app. If that is so, they are most likely correcting it or on it, and you will just have to wait.

Otherwise support is the only option. Doesnt sound like it has anything to do with the console itself.

Things just started working again. All is well again. I do wish however the whole syncing stuff with Xbox video etc.. was a bit more stable. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time I've gone through this since I jumped over to Xbox One. But anyway all is good
right now.

 

It sux when things don't work, but there are so many factors in play that when things go wrong, we don't know what the deal is.

But i'm glad it worked out for ya.
