Xbox Video Captures 3-6 seconds long

Recently when attempting to record video clips on Xbox through the capture section it has only been recording in 3-6 second intervals. Before some xbox support agent come on and says, did you try soft and hard resetting your console, do you have enough
memory, did you check on xbox live and on this xbox, did you check your setting, the answer is yes and I’m pretty annoyed that those game clips are now useless.

Thank you so far this is working for me better than going through the capture broadcast tab. Its still strange that some of Th e clips are 35, 48, 52 seconds without me stopping it.

I'd try troubleshooting a bit differently. I'd start off with the 10 second Power button where you hold the Power with your finger, naturally which you may have done. Then unplug the Power Brick cord for atleast 30 seconds. That seems to reset darn near
everything.

The problem does sound like storage space issue, but that wouldn't make any sense if you do have enough. Which is peculiar.

I'd try a different capture method if that doesn't work such as Capture from here.

A Clear Cache of the hard drive. Temporary files can become corrupt. In the Settings of the Xbox.

Worst case scenario would be doing a factory reset. Let's hope it doesn't come down to that but there are soft resets you can do, as well.

Does a black Troubleshoot screen pop-up when you first turn on your Xbox? That may indicate an issue in the firmware where console will need a soft reset which can be done on its own, automatically.

Let me know if any of those work.

Thank you for the response I have over 200gb free the cache clear was done might be the solution too along with the different way record it. Still puzzled why its just not a solid minute like my setting show.

Sorry to hear that you're having this issue. Have you tried the "record from now" function to see if perhaps it may reset your capture settings

To capture what's going to happen next:

Start your game. Press the Xbox button
to open the guide.
Press the View button
, and then select Record from now. Depending on your game clip resolution and available storage space, clips can last up to 10 minutes (capturing to internal storage) or 1 hour (capturing to external storage).
To end the clip, open the guide and press the X button
. You'll get a message when your clip is saved.

I had a similar issue myself in the past and for some reason, when I did this, it seemed to resolve itself.
