xbox very slow won't take controller commands

Okay, so I have tried waiting for OVER 7 HOURS for anything to load, I get the icons, but noting else. Everything takes too long to start. On the start-up xbox screen, it takes maybe 5 minutes to load only a black screen, then another 10 to load any icons.
I've tried to do a factory reset, but whenever I go into the screen, I get my hopes up, BUT THEN IT WON'T TAKE ANY CONTROLLER INPUTS! I put the D-pad down once, and it stays on 'continue', and that's the only thing that i can do. Any tips? I have done everything
that I can, and I hope that I don't have to trash it now.

Oh my gosh, I am soooo sorry for bothering you. I was just being a stupid idiot and using my circle pad, and not my D-pad. it's all fixed and im not depressed!

Hi,

You can remove it via the powershell (otherwise known as the command prompt), but there is little point as it will likely be reactivated again after a a windows update.

The app itself takes up hardly any space, nor will it slow slow down your device. If you're running low on storage, it won't be because of the Xbox App.

no you won't, it will be streaming the video source and controller commands, the xbox will be doing the grunt work.
