Hey so, whenever I play the Destiny 2 Leviathan prestige raid, i get to a point and my xbox just randomly turns off. I turn it back on and it comes with a message warning me about ventilation. Now my Xbox One X has plenty of ventilation and has never had
an issue up until now, and not only that, its ONLY when I get up to a certain point in the Destiny 2 Raid that this happens. Exact same time without fail. I have played other games for hours and watched endless netflix with no issue, but whenever I hit this
certain moment in the Raid my Xbox turns itself off. It seem odd that its only at this particular moment.

    :)

How do I fix the ventilation issue? I have followed all the suggestions it offers on the error message and have left it off for days but when I turn it on the message is the first thing that comes up.

Destiny 2 is a Xbox One X enhanced game, which means, that this particular game uses a higher resolution and more detailed textures than most "normal" games. This also means, that the One X has to "work harder" for the game to run smoothly with the added
detail, which results in more heat.

Usually, the console can handle that heat, if the area around the console is well ventilated. For example my One X doesn't have any issues with Destiny 2. Since you don't say which exact Raid you're having issues with, I can't say if I also experienced that
part (I haven't done all chambers yet).

However, depending on where you live, you might be in a hot summer climate right now, and the room temperature might be higher than normal. Or maybe you have the console in a dusty environment like a bedroom, and dust has accumulated inside the console.

Both can have an adverse effect of cooling the console enough.

If it's a Xbox one X check that the ventilation holes on the sides aren't blocked with dust and grime.

My area is quite humid and dusty. Grime accumulates in the holes which eventually blocks any airflow.

I use a vacuum cleaner to clean mine every other month.

Turn the console off and disconnect power before vacuuming to prevent any static electricity discharge.

Set up xbox console has a section you can read about positioning the console for maximum ventilation.

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is Welcome to the community.

Hello Alexander, by your description the game may be demanding more from your console.

I don't know which console model or how long you've had the console, but try to reset the console, and also try to put it in a more ventilated place so that the air can circulate better in your console.

    Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

    Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.
