    xbox uses all my internet when its on


    as the title said, I have had it for about a week now. Had alot of trouble the first few days because when connected wirelessly it would sometimes reset my internet and finally would not connect to live at all after the first day. was gunna return it for
    another one, but tryed hooking it wired into my router. The xbox connects fine now, but there are still a couple issues.

    1. Whenever the xbox one is on, we cant use the internet for the rest of our house, everything other than the xbox is wireless, it sucks all the internet right out. And all it has to do is be on, I dont have to be playing a game, or watching anything. it
    can just sit on the home screen and i can watch my modemn lights go crazy with all the bandwidth being used. Why is this, and it is th main issue I want to solve, otherwise not much point if we cant use the internet because the xbox is turned on.

    2. I also notcied that other than it sucking crazy amounts of interent, it also will not connect to games online, Ive been mainly playing forza horizon 2 lately and it just wont connect to other online games, which is nuts since the xbox has already stolen
    all our intenet for its own personal use, but it could at least give up some of it for its own games to use.

    Does anyone know why this is happeneing? I never had any kind of issues like this with my 360.

    Also forgot to mention that my dhcp reservation list on my routers page doesnt realize when my xbox 360 is even hooked up, however when my other comupter(laptop) is on which uses a wireless connection it connects flawlessly connects to the internet and the
    dhcp reservation list posts its ip address by it being on.

    Keep getting disconnected from xbox live when attempting to do any activity

    my xbox is all screwed up every five minutes or so it will disconect me from xbox live it is so anoying i think its my xbox but im not sure ive called coustomer support and they didnt help me with it and when i try to do a internet test on it it gives me
    this thing that says "This will limit your uses on xbox live'' if anybody can help me fix it please do

    totally sick of it to be honest

    everytime i switch the bugger on and choose a game it needs a 1,2,4 or 1o gig patch

    halo is the biggest culprit and it still runs like *** for me

    even when playing online your looking at 200 - 700MB per hour if playing destiny and the odd other game, research before buying but both consoles use a lot of data these days and like others say it will get worse.

    "charge $500 year... (60 basic XBL plus 35/month access).. sounds like a lot maybe to some... but not in the over all scheme of things..." - tohellnbak
    I pay more than that now for data caps. I would gladly pay a $1200.00 a year for uncapped (Assuming it's as fast as what I have now.).

    Comcast in my area (Massachusetts) only suspended 250GB a month data caps as of about 6 months ago,sucks but it's the reality of the situation. Nor do they have any competitors around here minus AT&T like 3 MB DSL

    unfortunately, some people live quite far from exchange services and around the world some places don't have multiple companies providing services so there is no competition, it is one of those problems that a large percentage of people around the world
    get stung with as these companies charge a fortune just for a limited service as there is nobody else to turn too.
