Xbox used an expired credit card to autorenew xboxlive

I have received an email about the need to update my creditcard before Christmas so you could autorenew my xboxlive account. As I rarely use the console anymore I ignored it as it said service may be affected. Brilliant I thought as I can just iqnore it
and I won't have xboxlive anymore. To my horror from a recent creditcard statement Microsoft still charged my account using an expired creditcard. Please refund my account with immediate effect or I will be forced to escalate the issue with the card's anti-fraud
dept.

I have since also cancelled the auto renewal for online services for my blu-ray player

Can I keep my XBox Live account active with No Credit Card on file?

Call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX to remove the credit card and autorenew. That should fix your problem.

Account suspended. please help!

Hey there - one of my friends accounts were suspended for payment issues - the credit card expired and autorenew was on.

What had to happen was he had to call up phone support and give them a credit card that was available, and it charged for the 1month or what have you and everything was AOK. You might also be able to get it unsuspended but set to silver membership.

Remember they put a lock and autorenew on your credit card with these deals.

You need a reoccuring payment option to buy a subscription on any service if you want any discounted rate like a credit card or paypal or bankcard as you need to be able to turn on autorenewal as it is a subscription which you can turn off autorenewal

if you dont want autorenewal you could always pay full price for prepaid membership cards and hope they are on sale
