Xbox Upload not recording sound

I have been having this issue since Xbox Sent me a refurbished console. I do experience this on random days where clips that are recorded via Xbox Guide + X or "Xbox Record That" will not record sound. I think it has something to do with the old console
and new one conflicting with Cloud servers but not too sure, I have uninstalled apps, Power Cycled and reinstalled things with no success. just wondering if anyone actually has a clear fix of this issue, Its getting really annoying now As I would need it to
work for Games coming out later in the year

Xbox one Game DVR Problem (No Audio) after April Update

I just uninstalled the Upload Studio, turned off the xbox, unplugged it, waited 30 seconds, plugged it, and restarted it. It is now recording with sound. Thanks to everyone for the helpful thread.

Recording Xbox 360 Games using Upload Studio?

Mutant: Yes, I agree. I still think it could have been an easy fix for Xbox to not allow uploads from recordings out of HDMI Input.

I've had the same issue. I've already sent feedback to Microsoft at least 5 times, already contacted the Xbox support and even restored the factory defaults. Nothing and no one could solve this issue.

My Xbox One is a original one, day one edition.

Please, Microsoft, pay attention to this issue! It's really annoying! I use to utilizing this feature frequently.

if it happens again, open upload (not upload studio), return to the home screen, push the menu button on your controller and scroll down to quit.

next time you scream "XBOX RECORD THAT!!!!!!" at you TV it should record with sound. worked for me

Hi devGOD,

During the April update preview a number of users started reporting the same condition as well. It didn't affect all of us but those who it did provided information to Microsoft so their Engineering group can continue to review/determine root cause. As
best I know the update that is being pushed out does not address the issue, someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Some users had success resolving the issue by performing the full shutdown steps (hold power for 8 seconds, unplug for 30 seconds, plug back in) but this didn't resolve all cases. I haven't seen an update on this so unfortunately the best I can tell you
is Microsoft is aware of the issue and have been and still are actively investigating it.
