Xbox update

I think I have the latest update(6.2.10812.0 (xb_rel_1404.140411-1830) fre) but I don't see the changes. I don't get Notifications when my friends get on from the one/360 and I don't see the update feature available under system settings.please
help. thank you

Friends notifications are favourite by default you need to go into setting to sort what you want also this only works for xbox one

The update feature only shows when system update is ready for your console it will appear under the controller update feature hope that helps

 

Yeah, I got it last week and I actually got irritated with the notifications popping up the green banner on the bottom of the scren so I turned them off. If your box had to be started from pushing the xbox button then you probably got it.

 

Ever since the update, my game dvr clips that I record do not have sound. All my Titanfall clips before the update had sound and since the update my new clips do not have sound. Anyone else experiencing this? Wtf?

 

Might wanna post that in the preview forums but this is a known bug. Should be fixed by public release today later.

 

It seems friend notifications only work if your friends connect to xbox live on xbox one. They do not work if your friends sign in on xbox 360. This is disappointing. I dont receive notifications for xbox 360 friends and yes i have my preferences set to
all friends.

 

they work for me friends from the xbox live 360 side pop up saying there online so idk man

It didn't tell me that I need to update my controller for example and there were supposed to be updates for the controller.

 

There is a controller update. You have to attach it to usb and select update controller. I dont know what it did mind

 

The controller update has to do with the wireless chat audio adaptor and the controller itself. Fixes certain issues like disconnects or controller freezing as well as static sounds heard in the headset when using Dolby Surround setting selected under Bitframe
for audio.

I'm going to check it again tonight since it appears I got the update, but no indication.

 

@FoxMachine20. I had the same problem with no audio in any of my Upload clips, and couldn't find an answer anywhere.

I got them to work by holding the power button on the Xbox (Not the controller) for ten seconds, then waited for the power brick LED to turn orange. After that I unplugged it from the outlet for a few minutes. When I plugged it back in and fired it up the
sound was back for all my Upload game clips.

 

Hi BigJ,

It appears that performing the Hard Power Reset, fixes lots of lingering issues sometimes. I had use it multiple times to temporarily clear the static noise from the headset, heard when connected to the audio adaptor.

Might try the hard reset first, prior to performing the controller update just to be sure I'm starting "clean".

 

I am having same problem, contacted microsoft support & they are working on fix I guess
